Carnival

We made our first appearance in the Community at the Alsager Carnival. Some of our children and adult volunteers took part in the procession and then manned a stall to promote our membership. Visitors to the stall were given the opportunity to sign up for membership to the Trust and were entered into a free draw. Lucky winners received a meal at the Manor House, Alsager and a voucher for flowers from Honeysuckle Flower. Prizes kindly donated by the Manor and Honeysuckle.

This was an important first step in the community and was very successful as we had lots of interested members of the community, who were keen to find out more about the Trust and what it means to Alsager.

Centre of Excellence for Singing

We are determined that Alsager Schools and eventually Alsager Community will become a regionally and nationally recognised centre of excellence for singing. We have a programme of activities in all the schools to develop a combined choir to be known as the ACE Choir. The first performance of this newly established singing group will be at the One World Week community event on 16th October at Alsager School. Who knows where this project will take us. We have high hopes!!

Community Involvement

As the trust gathers momentum it has become apparent how important it is that other members of the community become involved. Local businesses are key to the success of the development of the Trust. The first business to become involved is Symphony in Alsager. James, the Manager, is keen to join and is looking forward to working with the Trust over the coming months to develop ways of the whole community working together.

Forum

It is our intention to develop a Forum involving members of the community, staff, parents and students. This will be the voice of the members of the Trust. Watch out for more information about this over the coming months.

Please keep in touch with us at any of the member schools, Cranberry, Alsager Highfields, Excalibur, Pikemere, St Gabriels or the High School.
